GSVA has had a relationship with the Hoa Phuong Orphange in Hai Phong since 1999 when we built a playground for the children on the orphanage grounds. Then US Ambassador Pete Peterson joined us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. More recently, GSVA delegations have visited the orphanage on a regular basis to assess current needs. We often partner with Kids Without Borders and are grateful to Son Pham and his organization for this collaboration. In the spring of 2021, we funded the purchase of an audio system to support the kid’s music instruction and performance. In June, we sponsored a singing contest for the children in celebration of Children’s Day and sent prize money for all participants.
